ISO training, (International Standards of Organization) are the last line of defense between bacteria and other nastiness in food and you. There are so many different sets of ISO, and each one requires a certain amount of training to pass their specific certification. There is the ISO 22000 certification, ISO 20000 certification, the Iso 14001 certification and so many more others.
The best kind of ISO training that keeps us protected is Haccp certification training. HACCP, which stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, trains and certifies to ensure that food handlers are using the safest and most effective practices in a kitchen, a cafeteria, or any where else food might be.
ISO training and Food Safety Systems Certification was developed to regulate food manufacturers that process animal products, perishable produce, products with a long shelf life and other food ingredients, like additives and or vitamins. This way, bacteria, like Listeriosis, which is a a bacterial infection occurs primarily in pregnant women, newborn infants, elderly patients, and those who are immunocompromised, cannot get into our food and harm us.
ISO training is a good thing for you employers. You probably think that it will just increase the cost of production and slow things down as employees need to get trained properly, but think about it like this. Those who have incorporated ISO 14001 have a competitive advantage over the other companies in comparison who do not adopt such standards in their own production. This is also true for ISO 14000, which is a family of environmental management standards that helps organizations minimize the way that their operations will affect the environment and helps them comply with applicable regulations.
I am glad that we have ISO training in this country, are you not? What are your thoughts on ISO training and other kinds of certification? Do We need more in this country, or less? Why or why not?
